Post a CommentThe sad truth, but said well here.
Keep writing.
Too true! The rules should be "Nothing comes between God's love and all of us" and "God can freely slaughter ANY cows." The problem comes when you start killing other people for non-defensive reasons. God is the judge, not us.
gotta love those politicrites and religicrits too!!
I enjoyed your poem, and also I enjoyed your comment. How true!
First, I love and appreciate your title! Second, you're exactly right. Someone mentioned the subtitle, but since AC has apparently done away with those during the new design, I cannot read it. Anyway, excellent for such few words.
I don't think I would ever want you to get mad at me!!
I came back to this and realized I missed your subheading, which does explain your poem. Now, I understand what you meant by it. It did sound a bit political and religious, but I wasn't sure. I'm glad to see that you are open-minded to other people and their faiths. It's sometimes hard to look out of our own boxes. I am so glad that you do this. And upon second read and second pondering, this makes a great ton of sense! great job!
Kady, it is about both extremes (Radical and Reactionary) of politics AND religion. One of my passions is intelligent, mature, point/counterpoint discussion with others on these two subjects. Unfortunately, too many folks out there have decided that they can call their adversaries any name in the book, and mock their beliefs and points of view, but declare a "no-fly zone" over their dogma and philosophy. Those who resort to name-calling and mud-slinging are ironically the ones most hyper-sensitive to ANY criticism (Constructive or otherwise) aimed at them! In a nutshell, "You are stupid and evil, and I am wise and noble"; such is the misguided soul who sees everything as black or white.
Interesting, but I need to think about this. Is this a message on religion or politics or neither.? I like it, though! great job!
Concise!
