James R. Ford

you stand over there to the left

he can stand way over to the right side

I will stay here in the middle

she sees the glass as half full

while you see it as half empty

I just want a sip to quench my thirst

you worship your money with interest

he has hardly enough for bread

I'll meet you at Sam's Club with two full carts

he will protest the war for peace

you say kill all those dirty bastards

I will count the casualties in the paper and weep

you wanted more from this piece, like perhaps an answer

she says that's all he's about, connect the dots if you will

I end it all by remaining in the middle, with few or no typos.

I like this poem, and identify with it alot! I am sometimes called wishy-washy for being moderate, but I ask all of you out there in ACland; is it REALLY wishy-washy to choose a stance that gets you attacked regularly from ALL SIDES? just a little something to think about!

    Thanks.
I love when something I write can be enjoyed.
Call me simple, but simple pleasures are the best.
