I heard a joke the other day, "If Obama, Hillary and McCain all went down in a plane crash over the ocean who would be saved? --------- The Country"
Funny but true, as there is no good choice among the top three candidates this year and with the way the current administration has left our country in, it will take a strong willed person with good fiber that will be able to bring it back from the pits of hell the Bush administration has taken us to.
Our status around the world has changed to one of hate and even our allies are even distancing themselves from us. Our dollar is shrinking among all the world markets and devaluing everyday to the point that the euro and yen are the currency that countries want to trade in.
Our own stock market is so volatile that the only things that are pushing forward and making substantial gains are commodities that people need to survive, (oil, food, medicine), which is pushing prices upward to the breaking point for the average working man.
Our real estate market has stalemated, new home construction starts are down by an average of 73% nationwide. Existing homes on the market are finding themselves loosing value of 10-25% due to the influx of foreclosures that have swamped the market.
Foreclosed homes are at an all time high in our nation. Loose lending practices in the late 90's and early into the 2000's has now come back to bite them in the ass. Giving credit out to any breathing body, sometimes giving 100% of the mortgage value on credit, to people who never should have gotten credit in the first place.
People over extended themselves, trying to keep up with the Jones's syndrome hit as the I want it now attitude took over. No one ever heard of save up for it! But these mortgage companies saw an evil greed of profit in their eyes, gave out these mortgages with A.R.M.'s (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) which meant your interest rate could and would change throughout the term of your mortgage.
Nice concept for the mortgage companies, until the middle of 2006 when the first wave of foreclosures started to hit as the A.R.M.'s started to increase the mortgage payments with higher interest bills. As 2007 started up the foreclosures started to increase devaluing homes in the neighborhoods they were being foreclosed in.
Now some homeowners who had A.R.M.'s that were thinking about trying to working along with the mortgage company, just found out their home is now worth less than what they paid for it. So now many facing foreclosure just mail in the keys to their homes, doubling the already crippled real estate market and plunging our economy deeper into depression as the Fed's try to help lift thing by lowering the interest rate but only help further devalue the dollar on the world market.
By 2008 almost every street has a foreclosed home on it, I know on my street there are two. One in five people you know has lost a job. Prices at the grocery store has you pulling your hair out trying to figure out what to feed your family besides store brand mac-&-cheese. You try to balance your budget but things just aren't adding up anymore as you figure in $4.00+ a gallon gas to get around.
Yes the Bush administration is leaving us is wonderful shape. I know I am doing much better now then when he first took office. (NOT)
Our young men & women are still thousands of miles away getting killed daily by the dozens, and for what? What have we really accomplished in Iraq? Remember one of our former administrations put Suddam in power! Just like in Iran, the current administration there was put in place by a former administration of ours.
We create our own problems, Korea, we called it a policing action, (NOT A WAR) and walked away with it unfinished, now look today, we are having problems with North Korea. Both Iran and Iraq, we help set up. Not once but several times. Yet we are still having problems in that region.
Maybe we should just MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS !!! Ya Think!!
So President Bush, what have we accomplished in Iraq, besides getting a lot of good honest young American Kids KILLED ???? Since this conflict will not end before your term in office, what will be the outcome?
So President Bush, thank you for the GREAT job. You managed to get thousands of our kids killed in a foreign country. You have us hated by our enemies and shunned by our allies. You allowed hundreds upon thousands to loose their homes through foreclosure. You allowed the devaluation of our dollar on the world market. This is just your foreign track record.
As for your domestic track record, again thank you for the GREAT JOB, President Bush. I now pay 4.00+ per gallon for gas at the pumps as all your cronies at the big oil companies get rich off of mine and every other American you bleed at the pumps. Thank you as I now pay more for everything I have to purchase to eat, (because of higher oil prices). Thank you as I now pay more for all of my prescription medication, (because of higher oil prices). Thank you as I do not leave my home on my time off from work to spend money on other things like, eating out - movies - shopping, keeping other American's working because I can not afford it anymore, (because of higher oil prices).
Yes thank you President Bush, your domestic track record speaks for itself, I'm doing better now than before you took office. (NOT)
So the current administration has left this country in one hell of a shape to pull itself out from. Only problem is I don't see a bright and shinny star on the horizon. Obama, Hilary and McCain all talk a good game but that is exactly what it is a GAME! Business as usual. Telling us what we want to hear to try and gain our trust and our votes. Their loyalties are with the big money interests that support their campaigns, not with us, John Q. Public.
Do you want REAL POWER? It does not sit with the office of the President, it is with your congress and senate. The President just steers the ship, congress and senate are the rudder that guides the ship. They can keep a president in check and make sure that our voice is the one that is heard on capitol hill.
That is how Bush has gotten away with all that has happened throughout his term in office, congress and senate has let him get away with it. So the way I see it, it doesn't matter which puppet you put in the presidents chair, but if you do not have a congress and senate with a backbone, then the puppet will do what the puppet masters want it to.
To avoid this in the next four years, we need to start now speaking loudly to our congress and senate that we have had enough. Let all of these incumbents know that if they will not do the job we hired then to do, REPRESENT US, then the next election that their seat is up for grabs they will find themselves unemployed, like many other Americans.
We can control the president no matter who it is, we can control the next four years and our destiny, but it is up to us. Do you really want change, or do you just want to go on business as usual?
Something to think about!
Just one man's opinion. As always, put the wind in your hair and keep the sun to your back. Be good and stay safe. Peace, Love and prosperity to all.
Good Journeys !!!
