Vanessa was raised in a poor family. She studied hard for she wanted to finish school to help her family. She graduated with honors in a public high school. She wanted to take up Accountancy but her parents could not afford to send her to the local private university or colleges. Because such course was only offered in a private college then. She decided to enroll in a public university taking up Engineering. Vanessa had a hard time adjusting to the lectures because she was not so good in numbers.

After a year, she was able to survive the first step. In her sophomore years, she met Polo. Polo, though not so good looking was the most intelligent in class . Polo learned that Vanessa struggles with the lectures. Polo offered to help her out. He went to her house to teached her. They end up being good buddies.

Without the knowledge of Vanessa, Polo admire her so dearly upon knowing her better. But Polo hide his feelings toward her because he was so afraid that Vanessa will be angry.

Vanessa on the other hand, was so confused whether Polo's action was of a friend or more than friends.

After being friends for almost a year, Polo could no longer hide what he feels toward Vanessa. Adding more to his anxiety to the fact that Vanessa had a lot of admirers and suitors. He decided to tell her before someone could stole her away from him. He started to show that he really care so much. Eventually, Polo opened up to her and told her that he loved her so. Vanessa was so stunned upon knowing that he felt the same way. They both realized that they were inlove all along.

Both of them were able to graduate and pass the licensure examination. They continued to be lovers and best friend for more than six years. On the seventh year, they took their vow and promise to love each other forever.

They were blessed with a good job, good marriage because it was founded on friendship and love and they were blessed with a daughter.
