The scourge of Elm Street
From one teen's sleep to the next.
They just don't get it.
From one teen's sleep to the next.
They just don't get it.
If his nails got done
And dermabrasion was tried,
He might be nicer.
Empathy comes hard
But as a creature on Earth
He has nightmares, too.
Hollywood is cold
Like the money that it earns.
Cash is what matters.
Poor Freddy Krueger.
Both hideous and deadly,
Created to earn.

Post a Commentexcellent poems. I really liked the second haiku a lot.
Great set of verses!
He was creepy
Freddy always terrified me. I really appreciate your vision on this one. For me, it also examines those things more terrifying than scary Hollywood movies. Well done!
LOL...
True! Great poetry!
when i was a kid, I used to have a recurring nightmare of freddy kruger vising me while i sleep! but yeah, lol... poor freddy.
I saw the first Nightmare movie when I was in college, on the annual horror film night for Halloween. It was actually more funny than scary, because other students would scream when people went out to the mailbox just to be silly, or make fun of the gory special effects. That's the only way I would watch something like that, though. Maybe all those Hollywood villians are really misunderstood and need a monster support group?
My stepson was freddy kruger for holloween and we really were able to creep some people out with his makeup, that was fun, freddy not so fun
I couldn't watch any of those movies.
