They will have more updated software to ensure your continued safety. Some browsers can play a role in helping secure your computer as well. Since Internet Explorer is the most widely used web browser today, it's prone to more risks. A better browser used for every day use would be Firefox for many reasons, and you can download a free pop-up blocker directly from their site. It's a great browser period, but will not protect you unless you are surfing the net while using it. Paid software can help get rid of the pop-ups that come up just when you're connected to the internet. Paid adware software is also advisable.
