I didn't think that I would like this reality show because it asks the viewer to believe that two people can fall in love in about two months. I am not sure this can happen. However, I do believe in love and soul mates. Therefore, I got caught up in the story lines of The Bachelor. I got caught up in the trips that the contestants got to take and the dates that they went on while on the show. In short, I got caught up in the escapist nature of The Bachelor. In addition, I rooted for some of the girls to win the bachelor's heart. I fell in love with the story lines of this show too. I usually don't like shows that focus on love. But, The Bachelor has made me believe in the idea of falling in love on a reality show.
The Bachelor has affected my life because I have made many new friends because of it. I talk to my friends about this pop-culture show on Face-book. Also, I have a Bachelor finale party at my home from with some of my friends.
There are many things in pop-culture today that are fun to view and do. Reality shows are a big part of the pop-culture landscape. I didn't think that I would like reality shows. This is because they have little to do with reality. I am surprised that I like The Bachelor. This is because the premise of is shows sounds like a romance novel. However, I love The Bachelor because it is escapist television. In addition, I do enjoy love. This pop-culture reality show has given me new friends and a new way of enjoying television. Source: none
