Popular Fansite Chosen for Exclusive Wizard 101 Contest

The race is on for Wizard 101 fans. After announcing the partnership of Wizard 101 and the popular fan site, Wizard 101 Central, in an online contest; fans are desperately seeking new blood to be a fan of the game.

This exclusive contest will reward members of Wizard 101 Central with prizes based on how many fans Wizard 101 gets to its Facebook page.

Prizes are as follows:

  • 25,000 fans = 2,500 gold in-game
  • 50,000 fans = Krokotopia Hammock
  • 75,000 fans = Danger Hound pet that comes with one infection spell card
  • 100,000 fans = Kicker Bonus, 100 :special items" to be awarded to 100 Wizard 101 Central Members (1 item each)
The prizes will be awarded progressively, so for the first benchmark amount of fans you get the gold. If they reach the second, Wizard 101 Central users get the gold and the hammock. For the last amount of fans, all three would be awarded.

The hammock is an in-game item for housing. You can decorate you dorm room or buy a castle. The pet would give a card for aiding in Wizard 101 battles with creatures of the spiral or other opponents in Player vs Player.

All Facebook rules apply. You must be old enough to create an account in order to become a fan of Wizard 101. Younger players who are members of Wizard 101 Central can ask their parents or older friends and family to help them out by joining and being a fan; you will still receive the award if you are a central member.

The contest runs until September 16th, 2009. Check the websites of Wizard 101 Central and Wizard 101 to read all rules and requirements for the contest.

Facebook fans do not have to be members of Wizard 101 or Wizard 101 Central, but you may want to check out the game and be eligible for the prizes. Wizard 101 Central members do not have to be members of Facebook to win the prizes.
