Popular Halloween Costumes for 2010
What Will Everyone Be Wearing This Halloween Season? See What Will Be Popular for 2010
As far back as I can remember, kids have always loved to dress up for Halloween, especially when it's a character so far removed from who they are. This Halloween will feature many costumes based off of recently released movies. They can transform your child into a dragon, a favorite toy, or a character from a beloved children's classic. So if you're looking for just the right Halloween costume for your child, you've come to the right place.
Halloween Costumes for 2010 - Alice in Wonderland
With the recently released film starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, all the characters from Alice in Wonderland will be popular this year. To further authenticate your Halloween costume, enhance the look with stage makeup. The incredible makeup used for the Mad Hatter in the movie will be easily recreated with white face paint, pink lipstick and pink eye shadow. Just research photos of the characters to use as your example. Other popular characters will be Alice, the White Queen, the Red Queen, Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Halloween Costumes for 2010 - Shrek
Shrek Forever After will be released at the end of May and will provide many fun characters for Halloween costumes this year. The most popular will be, of course, Shrek himself. You'll be able to find this character's costume for all ages, from infant to adult. Check out the Shrek Halloween costumes here. Other characters that will be popular are Princess Fiona, Rapunzel, Puss N' Boots and the Donkey.
Halloween Costumes for 2010 - Dragons and Vikings
How to Train Your Dragon is slated to be a blockbuster movie this Spring for Dreamworks, thus making dragon and viking costumes big this year for Halloween. Other dragon characters from the movie that might be equally as popular are Terrible Terror, Hideous Zippleback, Monstrous Nightmare, Gronckle, Night Fury and Deadly Nadder. The viking characters of Fishlegs, Snotlout, Stoick, Gobber, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, Astrid and Hiccup will also be in high demand.
Halloween Costumes for 2010 - Robin Hood
Robin Hood, the movie, will be released in May 2010 and even though this is not an animated movie, the characters will prove popular for Halloween this year. Robin Hood will be the favorite Halloween costume from the movie. You'll also see costumes for Maid Marion, Friar Tuck and King Richard.
Halloween Costumes for 2010 - Toy Story 3
The third installment of Toy Story will hit the theaters in June and will again spur kids to don Halloween costumes of their favorite characters from the movie. Besides the usual Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie Halloween costumes, other popular characters will be those introduced in the latest version of the movie. These new characters include: Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, Ken doll and Peas-in-a-Pod.
Remember to shop early, the most popular Halloween costumes tend to fly off the shelves fast!
