Harry Potter has been pretty popular over the past few years and 2009 is no exception. With the sixth movie that opened in theaters this past summer, Harry Potter costumes will still be in high demand. Some costume ideas include characters like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy, Rubeus Hagrid, Severus Snape, and Hermione Granger.
Hannah Montana
Hannah Montana is a favorite among young girls so its no surprise her signature blond wig will be a must-have item for Halloween. Options for this costume include dresses, jackets, tights, skirts, and tops in an array of colors and styles.
Disney created a legion of loyal fans with this franchise of tween movies. Since 2006, High School Musical Halloween costumes have been in high demand. Favorite costumes are Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, and Wildcat basketball uniforms.

The release of Star Trek earlier this year has bought the franchise to a new generation of fans. With a sequel already planned, this will be a popular Halloween costume for many years to come. GI Joe
Along with Transformers and Star Trek, this beloved 80's cartoon has another batch of young fans thanks to a summer movie release. Trendy costumes include Duke, Cobra Commander, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow.

Great article about Halloween costumes!
Hi Devon, Nice to meet you, and I thought your article is great. You included all of the popular Halloween custome styles. My kids are too old for that, but it sure would have been handy a few years ago. Janet
