Popular Kids Halloween Costumes for 2007

Mike C.
If you've been shopping lately, you are probably starting to see the stores transform into a Halloween state of mind. Decorations are coming out on shelves, candy is in abundance, and most importantly, costumes are being displayed for children to reach out and wish for this Halloween! Just what are the four most popular costumes kids want for this year?

Harry Potter - Harry Potter books and movies have been a hit with children for awhile now. If your children are looking for costumes so they can be Harry Potter, then they can be ecstatic knowing this year's selection contains many choices. To become Harry Potter look for his Gryffindor robe and big "Harry Potter" circle-eyed glasses. Perhaps a wand would bring the costume all together. Harry was also left with a scar on his forehead in the shape of a lightening bolt, so maybe painting one on your child's forehead would be the perfect addition to the costume.

Pirates - Ahoy, Matey! Your children will have fun trick or treating as a pirate this Halloween. Whether your kids are the captains or mates, they will enjoy showing off their head ties, eye patches, and swords. Your child can even choose to wear black boots and/or the typical black pirate hat featuring a skull emblem. You can get costume ideas from Jack Sparrow, Ms. Swan and from other movie characters such as those in Hook and Pirates of the Carribbean.

Spider Man - If your child wants to be just like the character from Spider Man 3, there's a costume just for him/her. At BuyCostumes Online, they have an all new outfit for this year. Their complete costume comes with the red and blue jumpsuit which has the muscle torso and grey spider webbing accents, hood with mesh eye holes, along with the matching gloves and boot covers. To go along with this official Spider Man 3 costume, you get a matching treat bag! For safety reasons, BuyCostumes will not include the treat bag for toddler sizes. This costume is available for quick shipment at BuyCostumes for $52.99.

Star Wars Characters - From Storm Troopers to Yoda to Darth Vader, your child can be almost any one of their favorite Star Wars characters this Halloween. Dress up a little bit or go all out. The costumes may take more time in putting together on your own, but don't let that discourage you. To be Yoda you can simply use a long white robe and green headpiece or even paint your child's face green. Darth vader will be dressed in all black with his black mask/helmet and red weapon wand. Halloween Mart has a complete children's Darth Vader costume for $49.99. The store also has costumes for children who rather be Chewbaca, Obi-Won, or a Storm Trooper.
