Popular Naturist Resorts in Southern Europe

Naturism has long been accepted in Europe especially in the warm Mediterranean regions. Because of this there are many naturist resorts in Europe giving you plenty of choice if you are looking for a naturist holiday destination.

In France there are a number of good naturist resorts including one of the world's best naturist resorts,Cap D'Agde. Cap D'Agde naturist resort is located on the Mediterranean coast and is a completely self-contained nudist city. It has all the facilities you could need including accommodation, entertainment, restaurants, swimming pools, shopping and two miles of golden sand beaches. Cap D;Agde naturist resort is located in Languedoc Roussillon just under an hour from Montpellier. Other interesting naturist resorts can be found in the popular Provence region of south eastern France.

If you are looking for a family friendly naturist resort consider Belezy. This resort is situated in the foothills of Mont Ventoux and is near many points of interest. Facilities include three swimming pools, with one specially for small children. There is also a farm where children can learn about various animals and daily entertainment suited to different age groups. One of France's most interesting naturist resorts is Ile de Levant. This is an entire naturist island situated off the coast of Provence. It was first established in 1950 when a group of naturists and artists wanted somewhere they could get back to nature. The island has various accommodation options including hotels and has a good choice of dining, entertainment and places to relax and be one with nature.

France is not the only place your will find good naturist resorts in Europe. Located on the beautiful Greek island of Skiathos there is Banana Beach. This naturist resort isn't actually one beach but three beaches that attract naturists. Big Banana is the central beach, this is the busiest and most popular, but it is not solely naturist and also attracts suited bathers. If you want a more pure naturist area head to the extreme left of to the extreme right of Big Banana. On all of these beaches you can rent sun beds and parasols

In Italy there are eight naturist resorts and just as many nudist beaches. However there is only one naturist resort that has its own direct beach access and this is Club Pizz Greco. This naturist resort is located in the far south of Italy and it is primarily a naturist camping area. It has nearly three hundred campsites for hire, but is also has thirty-eight bungalows for rent if you prefer a little more comfort. There is a sandy beach that can be reached directly from this naturist resort. Other facilities include variety of sporting activities, bar, restaurant and laundry services.

After Italy we come to Croatia, the home of the first naturist resort and now home to over thirty official naturist resorts. Croatia is one of the most naturist friendly parts of Europe, especially the Adriatic coast. The first naturist resort was established here in 1934 on the island of Rab. It is called Paradise Beach. A couple of naturist resorts along the Adriatic coast that you should check out are Ulika Naturist Centre and Valalta.

Ulike Naturist Centre is located 8km from the town of Porec and is set in lush Mediterranean surroundings. It has eighty sites available, each having its own electricity connection. The facilities offered are modern and besides campsites there are caravans and air-conditioned mobile homes for rent. Ulike naturist resort is beside a blue flag beach. It provides its guests with swimming pools, activities, local and international food and beautiful surroundings. This is also a pet friendly naturist resort.

Valalta is a very family orientated naturist resort in Croatia. It does not allow single people to stay at the resort. It is located right by the sea and near the Lim Fjord nature reserve. There is a good choice of accommodation including well-equipped apartments, mobile homes, bungalows, caravans and campsites. On site guests will find a restaurant, kids club, excursion information, entertainment, pool and beaches.

The warm sunshine of Spain makes it an attractive destination for naturists in Europe. Two naturist resorts in Spain that may interest you are Chorco del Palo and Prorgue Vacional Eden.

Chorco de Palo naturist resort is located on the north coast of Lanzarote. It is a place to relax and enjoy nature, sunshine and the sea. There are no discos, amusement parks and loud music here. It offers apartment, bungalow and luxury villa accommodation and it is family friendly.

Prorgue Vacional Eden naturist resort is found amongst lush gardens on the island of Tenerife. It is located near Martianez and San Telim beaches. Accommodation is offered in studio or one-bedroom sizes. On site there is a buffet style restaurant, mini golf, bars,café, playground, tennis courts and other fun activities.
