Hocking Hills
One of the greatest and most relaxing places to visit in Ohio is the Hocking Hills region. Hocking Hills is located in southern Ohio and provides a tremendous amount of places to visit and activities so that individuals, couples, and families can be placed in a comfortable environment surrounded by Mother Nature. Hocking Hills has over 9,000 acres of forest to roam as well as a couple of interesting spots among the acreage. For example, there are several caves you can go exploring in. Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave are two examples; other interesting places to visit while in Hocking Hills include the Hocking Hills State Forest and Cedar Falls.
Lodging is no problem when it comes to Hocking Hills, either, as there are hundreds of places available to reserve a room. Cabins can be rented as well as fabulous hotels and Bed and Breakfasts to choose from.
Put-in Bay and Cedar Point
Put-in Bay is sometimes referred to as the "Key West of the North" and the crown jewel of Lake Erie. It is a small island off the coast of Lake Erie and it attracts millions of Ohioans and tourists each year. The activities that you can enjoy while at Put-in Bay are endless. You can visit a butterfly museum, experience water-skiing, parasailing, as well as many other water activities.
Cedar Point is not far from Put-in Bay centered right on the edge of Lake Erie. For a double enjoyment, trips to Put-in Bay and Cedar Point can be combined to include activities for everyone in the whole family! Cedar Point, owned by Cedar Fair, is one of America's favorite amusement parks with fabulous roller coasters and is also home to Top-Thrill Dragster. Millions of tourists visit Cedar Point each year also, which is a great place for the family!
Yellow Springs
Often referred to as the hippy town, Yellow Springs actually has a lot of history involved with its name. It was a major stop on the Underground Railroad, and the people of Yellow Springs take pride in their town and what its famous for. There are also a couple state parks very near to Yellow Springs. John Bryan State Park offers camping, lodging, and is one of the most beautiful State parks in Ohio. Clifton Gorge is near John Bryan State Park and offers its large nature preserve to experience.
When you do finally decide to visit Ohio, making sure you visit one of these 4 tourist attractions is a must. They are some of the more interesting, fun, and exciting places to visit around Ohio and they all will provide hours of fun and enjoyment for the whole family!
