Pork Chops in White Wine

Easy Pork Chop Recipe

Kara Kelso
Pork chops can make a great meal any time of the year, and can be served with just about anything. Because of the wonderful flavor of pork chops, you don't need a complicated recipe to make them absolutely fantastic. Although our tastes tend to differ on a regular basis, so we feel the need to try something new sometimes.

One of my favorite recipes that I make the most often only uses about 2-3 ingredients. It's very easy, and very tasty! Instead of changing the flavor of the pork chops, it just brings it out a bit. The chops come out very juicy and tender if cooked correctly, without being burned on the outside. None of the ingredients are hard to find, as long as you shop at a large grocery store. Some of the smaller, home town stores may not have one or two of these ingredients (My little store here in town doesn't usually carry white cooking wine, but I can almost always find it at Walmart or other large grocery chains).

Pork Chops in White Wine

What you'll need:
4 Pork Chops (more or less, depending on the size of your family)
Fennel Seeds
White Wine

Instructions:
Add a good layer of white wine to the pan. Add pork chops and sprinkle with fennel seeds. About 6-7 seeds on the chops will do. Cook on Medium heat for about 5-10 minutes or until brown. Flip to cook other side and cook additional 5-10 minutes. Repeat with additional chops, adding white wine as needed.

There are other variations of this recipe that include adding garlic salt or mushrooms to the chops. Usually I add garlic salt for extra flavor, but this completely optional. The great thing about this recipe is it's easily duplicated, cut in half, or tweeked to your liking. Really it's not that much work to do a few extra pork chops. You'll just need to watch your pan to make sure it has white wine in it at all times. It will cook away fairly quickly, so keep an eye on it if you plan to do more than 2 or 4. You can create your own delicious dishes starting with the basic instructions above.

You can always get creative with your pork chop recipes, or use ones with multiple ingredients. Although some of the best recipes you will find are often the most simple such as this one. My kids absolutely love this one!
