Porn company Kick Ass Pictures announced in a press release the DVD will feature "girls with tightly curled or twisted hair" who prostitute themselves.
The production and release of the movie will indeed bring back to the surface racial tension over a news topic that has slowly disappeared from the headlines.
Eurweb.com, reports that says Kick Ass president Mark Kulkis defends Imus' right to free speech.
"We see this as a free speech issue; as an adult media speech issue. As an adult media company, we're especially defensive of free speech. Don Imus is a loudmouth and perhaps a bigot. However, CBS Radio was hypocritical in hiring Imus to be blunt and outspoken, then firing him for the same reason. Fellow broadcast personalities Ann Coulter and Pat Robertson spew anti-gay slurs, yet they are not fired by their networks."
Don Imus was fired by CBS radio after advertisers bailed out in response to his "nappy headed ho" comment geared towards the Rutgers University female basketball team.
The porn industry itself is no stranger to free speech disputes. In the 1970's, Hustler magazine founder Larry Flynt has been involved in many legal battles regarding the First Amendment. More recently internet porn sites have come under fire. In 1998, Congress passed the Child Online Protection Act to protect children from sexually explicit material on the Internet. The act enforces web porn site owner to take special precautions to prevent minors from accessing adult material on their websites. If these precautions are not met, the web site owners can be fined or jailed. Many argue this act is taking away the free speech rights of adults.
This past March a judge struck down the act, stating the law violates the First and Fifth Amendments.

Post a CommentOK Mrs. Hayden...I have to ask...How in the hell do you know so much about the porn industry and their up coming releases? Did I find the chink in your otherwise perfect armor? LOL
Good article and a good reason why the issue should have been kept private in the first place.
You have a point Anthony, porn movies are usually spoofs of movie titles(so I've heard LOL), i guess i am suprised at this because it is more of a social issue than a silly hollywood movie
I'm surprised it took a company this long to actually do it. Porn titles are often spoofs though- like Edward Penishands. Seriously.
