Porsche Expects 20 Percent Growth Sales in India

Super luxury car manufacturer Porsche is expecting a growth of about 20 percent in the Indian 2009 though the company is expecting a dip in its global sales in 2009.

According to Rod Wallace (Porsche Importer Precision Cars India Managing Director), "Porsche is still in its infancy in India, but still demand for our cars has been increasing constantly. We are targeting to sell 200 units in 2009"

Porsche with its complete range of 22 models sold more 168 units in 2008 across the India and now expects and increase of nearly 20 percent in the sales.

Further adding Wallace said, "Automobile sales have been stalled globally due to economic slowdown. Porsche will cut its production as it is expecting its sales to be around 80,000 units this year compared to 98,000 units in 2008"
