Every year, the weekend before St. Patrick's Day, Port Huron, MI holds its annual Pub Crawl. This year is no different. It is to be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010. It goes from 1:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wristbands can be purchased in advance for $10.00 from the McMorran Box Office or from any of the pubs that are participating. You also get a Killian's glass with your $10.00. This year there are 18 pubs participating in the pub crawl.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with a pub crawl, it's when a group of people get together and bounce from bar to bar. The Port Huron Pub Crawl makes it a little easier by providing a trolley service to take the crawlers to and from the different bars around town. Although the pub crawl officially ends at 7:00 p.m., many will still stay out beyond that time hanging out at the pubs. Most people dress up for the Port Huron Pub Crawl. Anything goes really. The more green and funkier it is, the better! Since most people get highly intoxicated during the Port Huron Pub Crawl, it'd probably be a good idea to have either a designated driver or have someone who is sober drop you off and pick you up when the fun is done. You also have the option of getting a room at one of the local hotels and motels and getting a cab to take you to and from the pub crawl.

This year, as mentioned before, there are 18 bars participating in the Port Huron Pub Crawl. They are: Active Lounge, Brass Rail, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Figeros, Hollisterz, Legendz, McMorran Under The Ice Lounge, Military Street Music Cafe, Outpost, Office Lounge, Palms Krystal Bar, Quay Street Brewery, Roche Bar, Rum Runnerz, The River Grill, Thomas Edison Inn, Whiskey Pete's, and Zebra Bar. Many of these bars are within walking, or shall I say "staggering: distance from each other. While others are kind of in an area of their own and this is where the trolley comes in handy.

No matter which bars you go to and how long you decide to crawl for, it's sure to be a good time. Hundred of people do the Port Huron Pub Crawl each and every year. In fact, it seems to grow each year as well. So enjoy being an Irish for a day with your friends!
