Portable Shark Steam Cleaner for House Cleaning and Beyond

There are so many uses for the Portable Shark Steam Cleaner, I probable have not discovered them all yet. It not only cleans well, but I do not need to use any chemicals to clean with it. Steam cleaners are not only safe for the environment but safe for my family as well.

I have used a floor steam cleaner for years. I was concerned about the babies and the dogs crawling and laying on the floors when using harsh chemicals to clean them with. To make a long story short, I wore it out and needed to get a new one. That is when I purchased the Shark Steam Cleaner.

I started using it on the floor of course. It worked even better than the last model steam cleaner that I had. With the Shark Steam Cleaner I did not need any special cloths to clean with. I could use any micro fiber cloth or terry cloth towel on the floor cleaner. The attachments allow me to get into cracks and crevasses that could not be reached with my last steam cleaner.

With the floor coming so clean I could not wait to explore other uses for the steam cleaner. The Shark Steam Cleaner comes with several attachments and an expandable wand, plus the power cord is long enough that I am not limited to spaces I can reach.

Next I went into the bathroom and decided to see how it would work on soap cum build up. With the concentrator nozzle, I started to clean the grout on the tiles in the bathtub and shower area. I worked my way down the grout and noticed the soap was melting right away. I then proceeded with the tracks on the shower doors. The nozzle fit perfectly into the track and even reached under the doors. Then I attached the squeegee and used it on the shower doors and mirrors. The soap spots came right off. I wiped them down with a dry cloth and they almost sparkled. The mirrors came out really nice, with no streaking at all. Then I tried the concentrator attachment on the inside rim of the toilet bowl. It came clean but I think I still will use a toilet brush and bleach, only because old habits are hard to break and I feel it is more sanitized with the bleach.

I have used my portable steam cleaner on my refrigerator, stove, coffee pot, and electric can opener. Recently I used the steam cleaner on my mini blinds. Unbelievable how easy it was and how clean they came. I only clean them twice a year so they get pretty dirty. Using the steam cleaner I did not have to put them in a tub of water and risk ruining the mechanisms that make the blind work. Nor did I need to use any strong chemicals, no chemical fumes to breathe in, or chemicals to damage the cords.

I have also taken the steam cleaner to my barbeque grill. As with most grills it gets full of grease. I took the concentrator nozzle and just started cleaning down the sides of the grill. The grease melted away. I also laid the racks on the cement and steam cleaned them. The build up of grease and residue blasted right away. Then I cleaned the outside casing of the grill and that came just as clean as if it were new.

My next project was to try it on my car. With the detail brush I was able to finally get some of the consol areas that I could not get cleaned before. Those cup holders and the storage areas came totally clean. I also used it on the door openings and foot rails. Then I took the floor mats and was able to get them clean with the steamer.

There are just so many uses for the Portable Shark Steam Cleaner. It can be used on the rims of your car, bicycle rims, children's toys and patio furniture. I have also used the steam cleaner on the casings around the outside of my windows, to lift the grime that builds up in those little crevasses. It works well on walls and those ruff ceilings. I have used it on register vents, sink and tub drains, and on my outdoor bird houses. I was always concerned about using soap or any chemicals on the bird houses, now there is nothing to be concerned about.

I have not as of yet used the Portable Shark Steam Cleaner on wood floors or wood furniture to remove wax buildup. I am very cautious when it comes to doing certain things on wood. I have not used it on upholstered furniture either. Although it states that you can. I have a upholstery steam cleaner I use for that.

As you can probably tell, I highly recommend the Portable Shark Steam Cleaner. I will probably be wearing this steam cleaner out as well. When that happens, I will be getting a new one without reservation. Just imagine all this cleaning and no chemicals. The Shark Steam Cleaner not only cleans well, but also saves money and my family from chemical exposure.
