Pros
There are a lot of good things to say about the Portapower commercial vacuum. It has powerful suction and able to clean bare floors thoroughly. Even though it's powerful it's relatively quiet so you won't need any hearing protector while vacuuming. The wands are made from chrome-covered steel instead of plastic so it is more sturdy and durable.
This portable vacuum comes with plenty attachments (including a crevice tool, wall/floor brush, dusting brush and upholstery brushes) so all your cleaning necessities are well covered. With these attachments you won't have to worry that they will fall off when you use them. Once connected these guys will stay connected until to pull them off.
You will also appreciate the weight. This thing only weight 8 pounds so carrying it on your shoulder while vacuuming won't be a hassle at all. Plus it has long power cord so you can cover a large area without repeatedly switching power outlets.
And finally it's the bag. This vacuum comes with a reusable and washable cloth bag. It's a high quality bag and it should last years. If you don't like the cloth bag you can replace it with paper bags using the included adapter.
Cons
The Portapower commercial vacuum cleaner is obviously not made for cleaning carpets. It's excellent for cleaning bare floors but for carpet you should get an upright vacuum. Portapower does not have enough power to pull dirt completely from deep carpets.
Next is a about the look. You have to admit that this vacuum will never win a beauty contest. The box-style design is painted black which is kind of dull. If you like showing off cool-looking vacuum to your neighbors this is not the one to buy.
The other flaw of this vacuum is the lack of cord reel. All you got is strap to hold the power cord on the unit. It also misses on-board attachment storage so you should find something else to keep those attachments handy.
Conclusion
Even though the Portapower commercial vacuum cleaner is an ugly-looking vacuum it does a great job in cleaning bare floors. If you have $120 in budget and care more about cleaning performance than brands and looks you should consider getting this portable vacuum cleaner from Portapower. It is obviously made for long-term use so you won't have to buy a new one every six month or so.
