Country Clubs Are Still the Craze in Portland Oregon

CJMathis
Business meetings, holiday events, or important lunches with friends can be fun at many of Portland's country clubs. Here are three of Portland's most prestigious and well-known Country Clubs. If you are seeking membership please visit the websites for cost and other membership information. I have had the pleasure of dining at 2 of these prestigious country clubs for holidays and business meetings and can agree that membership must be a wonderful thing to enjoy.

Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club
12930 NW Old Pumpkin Ridge Road
North Plains, Oregon 97133-6147
www.pumpkinridge.com

Pumpkin ridge Golf Club is best known for it's magnificent championship golf course. Opened In 1992 Pumpkin Ridge is home of both Witch Hollow and Ghost Creek Golf Courses. Each of these courses has been home of some of the countries most prestigious golf tournaments. The U.S. Women's Open, Nike Tour Championship and the famous PGA Tournament to name a few.

Pumpkin Ridge also provides members with two clubhouses, dining facilities and golf shops. Wedding and receptions along with corporate meetings take place at Pumpkin Ridge between tournaments. Many corporations have their meetings and conventions here because of the beautiful and peaceful location.

Waverly Country Club
1100 SE Waverly Drive
Portland, Oregon 97222
www.waverley.cc/club

Founded in 1896, Waverly Country Club is still known for its etiquette and dress codes, with these codes not just including inside the Country Club but on the golf course while playing. Waverly Country Club is the only club in the Pacific Northwest that has been awarded the Platinum rating. With the 138 acres of beautiful natural land, what enhances its beauty is the fact that is sits alongside the Willamette River.

What may attract members to the Waverly Country Club is the fantastic golf course, swimming pool, dining areas set for both single dining and business dining, their ability to put most wedding venues to shame or perhaps it is the ability for over night stays at the Country Club itself. No matter the attraction Waverly Country Club has a large membership and having the pleasure of attending a Christmas event at the Waverly Country Club I personally can attest that their service, beauty and dining is fantastic.

Persimmons Country Club

Persimmons also has areas for year round weddings and receptions and business events are also well known to be the top of the walk at the Persimmons Country Club.
