White House Bed & Breakfast

One of Portland's most acclaimed, beautiful, and enjoyable B&B's the White House serves daily breakfast to guests each morning. This daily event has been called one of the delights of staying at the White House. Sitting right in the North East Historic Irvington district at 1914 NE 22nd Ave. The White House was built in 19111 by Robert Lytel one of the Pacific Northwest lumber barons, billed as the most expensive home in the Irvington District at it completion the White House was a mansion in it's day and still is in present time. This historic neighborhood offers guests the venue of walking, jogging, shopping and a visit to the famous Portland's Lloyd Center Mall. A visit to the famous International Rose test Gardens, Japanese gardens, Portland Art Museum, Chinese Gardens and Portland famous Pittock Mansion are also spots for visitors to put on the list of things to see and do in Portland.

Being met by 14 huge columns and the beautiful fountain when pulling into the circular driveway generally takes the breath away from guests on their moment of arrival. There are five guests' rooms in the main house and three guess rooms in the Carriage House all filled with antiques, paintings and porcelains. Generally not a place for small children the White House is listed as one of the Best Places to Kiss and Best Places to Stay in the Pacific Northwest. Each room is equipped with feather pillows, rich linens, private bath, climate control, phones, data ports and wireless Internet. Spa suites also come with French champagne and Moonstruck Chocolate gifts. A vegetarian breakfast made from fresh local fare is served in the main dining room by candlelight. For meat lovers the White House serves Carlton Farm's hormone free meats on the side. If guests prefer Vegan then a request at time of reservation is required. Every day there is a complimentary espresso coffee bar for those who, like me, love their coffee.

Rates for rooms range from $125 to $225 and reservations are necessary.

Portland is one of the Pacific Northwest's most interesting cities and offers visitors and travelers a great place to shop, see that theater performance, walk in the country, love the outdoors and also bring romance back into your life. A trip to Portland Oregon is a wonderful, peaceful, and energizing trip for all who come. Visit http://www.portlandswhitehouse.com/ to check into availability and make reservations.
