For a moment in the imposing flash of our lifetime, once and awhile there comes along an artist whose visionary attributes leave an art critic, art lover, and occasional art viewer of fine art speechless. This is one of the distinctive attributes of this artist personality that will make people from all walks of life come to be aware of - the man called Smitty.

Yahoo Interview: Smitty when did your love of art first transpire you to create the masterpieces that have become a staple of your personality and life today?

Smitty: Graffiti Artist tags around the neighborhood Of New York City and the Bronx were my beginning inspiration that made me ask myself why they were painting their names over everything.

Yahoo Interview: What made you question the validity of the Urban Graffiti Artist purpose for bombing particular sites?

Smitty: The inspiration of this art did not come to me from the aspect of bombing, but from the tags that were thrown up in haste, like a five year old child - writing his name on his mother's womb five years prior to the recognition of today, as if he had written it on her bedroom door, the passage of her internal heart.

Yahoo Interview: Smitty, the beginning precipice of Graffiti Art that initially began in the jungle of the spirit, which would someday inspire you to create one of a kind "Picasso/Black Renaissance art that will someday be revered as some of the most important and beneficial art form we know today. What is your mission for 2011 and beyond?

Smitty: The answer to your question is quite simply - is that my art has always been evolving to what it has always been. A work of art that has manifested itself into the man whom I have become, grown to be, and the child I have always been, so as to have shaped the standards of my work.

Yahoo Interview: What is your favorite medium that you use to support your themes in retrospect of your vision as an African-American artist?

Smitty: Nothing other than the most mysterious of plains, quote on quote - our everyday life.

Yahoo Interview: What is your favorite subject matter, and what inspires you to create the pieces that bring illumination to new forthcoming aspiring artist?

Smitty: Well, bringing light to other upcoming inspiring artist I know very little about. Although my favorite subject matter is in my face as I converse without the rehearsal - of self defeating controversial negative energy that marks the end of you and me as far as my art is concerned.

Yahoo Interview: What is the most important aspect that inspires your artwork?

Smitty: The hard headed neighbors that sparked nothing but frustration - which sparked illustrations of what you come to see today, this is the real truth of my selfless expression.
