Positive Thinking Can Change Your Life

Our thoughts are the reflection of our minds. Surely, if we think something positive, we will project it in our face and we project a happy demeanor. That is how powerful thoughts are. Thoughts, indeed, affect our attitude and our attitude has wide latitude to people we interact with and move around. This is the reason why we should develop positive attitude since we are indeed social beings and we cannot avoid interacting with other people. We certainly need people to live. We cannot live alone since they say, "No man is an island."

They say that the type of attitude you carry depends on you. These attitudes can be either positive or negative. Importantly, positive thoughts have a filling effect. They invigorate and energize not only our being, but also the people we meet and interact with as well. On the other hand, negative thoughts have a sapping effect on other people. These completely turn off other people. Aside from making us gloomy and sad, it turns some events from a festive one to a sorrowful moment.

Also, positive attitude attracts people, but negative attitude repels them. Usually, people tend to shy away from people who carry negative attitude.

Attitude is simply the way we look at the world. So, if you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, you have this tendency to have negative attitude in life. On the other hand, if you choose on the positive things, you simply carry this positive attitude.

Having a positive attitude is said to begin with a healthy self-image. Healthy self-image means you love yourself the way you are, feel satisfied, confident and self-assured. With this, you also make others feel the same way. On the other hand, people with negative attitude reflect the opposite attributes. Feeling bad about himself, he also makes others feel the same way.

It is, thus, necessary that if you want to have a positive attitude, you have to always maintain healthy thoughts. This could be hard these days since the environment we live in is full of negative things to project. It is disheartening to know that based on a study made, it says that for every 14 things a parent says to his child, only one is positive. It means to say that parents must likewise be educated on inculcating positive thoughts and values for the negative effects they create on their children.

Certainly, there are ways to have a healthier outlook in life. The rules are:

· Think of happy thoughts.

· Hear positive things as well.

For beginners, they can do these things to make them happy: see a funny movie, play with children, or have some time to tell jokes with friends. These activities can fill you up with positive stimuli, which then promote positive attitude. If it is impossible to keep you from the negative things around, you can still carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things and positive things in life.

People with positive attitudes can cheer other people. Even without saying anything, a person with positive attitude can bring comfort to other people who are down by his mere presence. On the other hand, there are certain people who choose to adopt negative attitude. For all we know, this person may be actually sending a signal for attention.

Based on studies made, having a positive attitude brings forth these good things:

· It retards aging.

· It makes you healthier.

· It helps you develop a better stress coping mechanism.

· It has a very positive effect on all the people you meet everyday.

For all these reasons, there's nothing to lose in having a positive attitude in life. Furthermore, it also makes the world a better place to live in.
