Positives of Summer Mingled with Oh No

LarrWayne Po
Summer time arrives
With its pleasures and gripes.
Like the heat
In the kitchen,
Or the chill
Of a freeze.
Defrosting toes
Is not often pleasing
With tea.

That first step
Into the outside oven,
May not be pleasant.
As the first gripe
Enters into your mind.

Oh no,
I looked forward to this?

What did I ask for?

Like tears perspiration

Could fill a jar.

Where is a walk in cooler,

I can step into?

Thank you June,

July, and August.

Positives mingled with negatives,
Stir the crowd.
You can be pleased.
Temper down.

Though losing weight
May not be your speech,
The opportunity is there
For those in need.

Step out of your shade
And absorb some sun,
Then dip in the pool
To add to the fun.

You may fool a fool,
But when there is no pool,
Honesty rules.

Some say men sweat,
While women perspire.
We've heard that one;
Don't use that line,
When we are down wind.
Perhaps a shower
Should cross your mind.

I am glad you are glad,
You are losing weight.
Strategically being down wind,
Is a nice trait,
While we wait with patience
For the perspiration
To drop off your face.

Pleasantly plump,
Looks good to me,
So don't compare yourself
To a twig on a tree.

Loving what is
Above the neck,
Is the most spectacular
Event of them all.
A spirit can speak
With jest and talk.

After you are use to
The warm winds,
Fall will threaten
To come again.
Like a yo yo
Up and down,
So goes the see saw,
As the world spins around.

Happy readjusting;
You can do it.
Them clothes that shrunk,
May soon fit again.
