Possible Causes of Alcohol Addiction

R.Ten
A big fire in the woods could start from anything. It could begin from a cigarette butt and finally become a fierce flare. So when we talk about what caused an alcoholic to be addicted, we talk of what may have got them to start drinking and how it became a part of their lives. Anything that goes on air is always a success as many people get to watch television every day. Advertising alcohol may lead non-drinkers to engage in drinking from a tempting advertisement that was aired for commercial purposes. Young kids, high school children or anyone may perceive those advertising alcohol as superior and would like to resemble them. This could lead to them trying out a new variety of liquor merely because it was on television.

Though parents show great affection to their children, there might be a part they play which contributes to their young getting tempted to drink and behave like their parents. Since the children believe that what daddy says and does is right, drinking may not be a bad thing after all. Stealing drinks from where the elders keep them would seem exciting and encourage more alcohol consumption with time. There would come a time when those who sneak alcohol would like to feel free and never hide again. Handing out money to youths may lead to buying alcohol, with some countries selling low quality alcohol at prices cheaper than soft drink. Many will opt to drink something that will keep them happy than what would cost them more and not even get them drunk.

My grandfather used to smoke and when he left the cigarettes on the table, we were always curious and wanted to try and blow out some clouds like him. Leaving alcohol at an easy reach of children could lead to those who have never tasted alcohol to give it a try. The result of exposing products that are strictly meant for a certain age, at the reach of those who are underage, could go pretty bad. The habit of trying out the drinks out will lead to a habit of wanting more and more in the long run. Having nothing to do may create a sense of idleness. Not participating in games or having a job may veer people to go and have fun in pubs and clubs where alcohol is a major ingredient. In the long run one may never come to realize that their alcoholic dependency came along from seeking some harmless fun and landing up with liquor. Addicts are never born, they are made and it takes control of their lives.
