Possible Impossibilities Possible?

does the shadow
see his shadow?

can time
fold
inwards on itself -
granting truth to the adage
time heals? by stepping
backwards
into the past before hurts -
intended and accidental
transpired can we find
the absolution
we will not give
ourselves?

can a man be forgiven
the offense of caring,
wanting, loving to the point
of love
smothering
love?

are these impossible
impossibilities
possible?

and if the earth spins
no more while seas
boil away would time
stand still? standing still,
be sundered?

and if time is sundered
would that at last free a man
from an oath he longs terribly
never to be free of?

...and if feelings
are normal,
healthy,
than why - why
does this hurt
so sweetly?
