The 2012 International CES show has wrapped, but the technologies and gadgets that made the news will continue to raise interest during the coming months. Here's a glimpse at a few cool and unique toys from the showroom floor that every geek would be thrilled to own.

Cyborg Gaming MMO 7 Mouse

Gamers have a whole new toy to enhance gaming this year. That's because the Cyborg MMO 7 Mouse from Mad Catz promises to take using a mouse in gaming to a whole new level. Aimed at MMO players, the MMO 7 is weighted, has adjustable sensitivity, and is equipped with 13 different buttons that operate in multiple modes. Gamers will find 78 different commands instantly available with a simple click. Included software will allow for easy assignment of those commands to buttons, and to get started, a prebuilt World of Warcraft Plug-in will give gamers the immediate ability to drag and drop spells, inventory items, and more into the MMO 7.

Ego

There are an uncountable number of digital video cameras on the market. Most of them, however, are not designed for the elements and extreme action. The ultra-portable water-resistant Ego is a full HD camera that easily mounts to helmets, handlebars, and more, and sports a 136-degree wide angle lens that captures 12MP stills on a microSDHC card. Video can also be captured to storage or streamed live via Wi-Fi to a smartphone at either 1080p or 720p at 30 frames per second.

Xi3 microSERV3R

Servers have come a long way since their big and bulky days, and the new Xi3 microSERV3R takes the server form-factor another leap forward. Both data center managers and home enthusiasts will enjoy the out-of-the box ability to run Linux or Windows, on a dual-core 64-bit server that easily fits in the palm of a hand. Module cards to expand the server's capabilities are available through Xi3, and schematics are also provided by the company for those that are inclined to design their own.

i'm Watch

From early Casio calculators to the popular Timex Data Link; there have been some really cool technology driven watches on our wrists over time. The i'm Watch joins the group as "the first real smartwatch." With an i'm watch, the ability to use the phone, read emails, listen to music, and more - right from your wrist is finally possible. Many of the features, including access to social networks like Twitter and Facebook, requires tethering to a smartphone, and expandability through additional apps is possible via a connection to the watch's i'm Cloud service. Some quick specs include 4GB of flash memory, 64 - 128 MB RAM, and a 1.54" color TFT display with 240 x 240 pixel resolution.

Project Fiona

Currently running on Windows 7, and scheduled to be running on Windows 8 when released later in the year, Fiona, may change portable gaming forever. The tablet that acts like a PC features control via touchscreen capabilities and by dual built-in force feedback game-pad controllers. An Intel Core i7 powers the tablet which provides Dolby 7.1 surround sound, a generous 1280 x 800 display, Wi-Fi, and a 3-axis gyro, magnetometer, and accelerometer.
