Currently there are a number of people promoting ads that say you can make money online by posting links on Google. One of the most well known is a guy who goes by the name of Kevin. Kevin claims he's making a killing working part time and he encourages you to get your Google Kit and join him in posting links on Google so you to can start making the big bucks also.
All of the other ads about posting links on Google start off declaring that anyone can earn quick cash working with Google. That ad states that you will get on paid on a weekly basis and of course, they make getting started R-E-A-L easy. They claim there are no upfront costs. All you have to do is pay the $1.95 shipping and handling fee for your "Google Kit" and once it arrives, you'll be on your way to big paydays! What could go wrong, RIGHT? Believe me when I tell you, "Everything is going to go wrong. Here are the four deceptions these companies use to trip people up.
Posting Links on Google Using a Google Kit Deception #1
The first trick these companies use is to give the perception that you will be working for or working with Google! They use phrases such as, "Google pays me every week and I make $7,500 a month working with Google." Make sure you are clear on this, Google IS NOT associated with ANY of these companies running these ads. Google does not have "Google Kit" that it sells or gives away and neither does Google have a program that pays anyone for Posting Links on Google.
Posting Links on Google Using a Google Kit Deception #2
In the ads, you'll notice that many of them claim they get paid every week by Google. They have become so brazen that they put up pictures with checks they assert come from Google. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Google has only one payment plan for website owners/publishers and that is NET 30 days.
I've been in both Google programs, (Google Adwords and Google Adsense) since 2005. In Google Adwords, you pay Google for the privilege of running your ads on their network. If a person is Posting Links on Google, THEY ARE PAYING GOOGLE TO DO SO!
In Google Adsense program, Google pays you for placing the ads of other advertisers on your website or blog. In that program, you get paid NET 30 days each month your account is over $100. So if you make $1,536.00 in January, Google will pay you at the end of February. You can search high and low, but Google DOES NOT have ANY program by which it pays on a weekly basis.
Posting Links on Google Using a Google Kit Deception #3
They claim there are no upfront costs; only a $1.95 shipping and handling charge. Can you spell B-A-L-O-N-E-Y! This is where these companies snag thousands of unsuspecting people weekly. On surface, most surfers see the $1.95 and go, "What can I lose?" The next thing you know, they've signed up to receive their Google Kit and are getting pumped about getting paid for Posting Links on Google. Hold on honcho! You should have read the small print!
Here is the legalese, "Terms and Conditions" almost all of the companies use that advertise the Posting Links on Google Using a Google Kit. Slow down and read their, "Trial Period and Billing" statement
2. TRIAL PERIOD AND BILLING
2.2 By submitting an order, you automatically receive a 7-day trial to the Google Kit System. Your 7-day trial begins immediately upon placing your order. You will be billed $1.95 at the time of order submission. Once your trial is active you have 7 days to decide whether to accept your subscription. Prior to the expiration of the 7-day trial period, you may cancel your subscription by calling toll-free at X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. Should you fail to cancel your Subscription within the 7 day trial you will be billed $79.95 at the completion of the 7 day trial and every month thereafter for your monthly Subscription unless canceled by You.
I hope you read that carefully! Everyone who paid the $1.95 is going to have that credit card charged anywhere from $69.95 to $89.99 in seven days. Most people don't catch the scam until they've made at least two payments. And the kicker is, the way the agreement is written, you can scream bloody murder to the mountaintops but you are not getting that money credited back to your credit card. The attorney who wrote that agreement covered every possible argument. The bottom line; you just got BURNED!
Posting Links on Google Using a Google Kit Deception #4
Once you see the $69.98 charge on your credit card, you are going to go bonkers! That's a given! That being said, your next step may drive you to insanity. When you attempt to go back and find the website you signed up for so you can cancel your "Google Kit" subscription, you won't find it.
The people who launched the Posting Links on Google scheme are some clever people. They rigged up the system with a network of websites that are actually payment portals. These are sites designed to collect or receive your credit card information and then be gone. If you didn't make a copy of their, "Terms and Conditions" the day you signed up, you'll be forced to through an online searching expedition just to cancel your subscription. Is the whole process of getting a Google Kit for the purpose of posting Links on Google a scam? You bet it is!
