Beef Pot Roast

This Beef Pot Roast smells heavenly when it is cooking. I suggest you start this in the morning or around lunch and cook it on high so it's ready for dinner. That also means your stomach will probably growl all morning from the yummy smell of it cooking.

You will need:

3 medium potatoes, sliced thinly

2 large carrots, thinly sliced

1 onion, sliced

1 teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of pepper

3-4 lbs of boneless beef roast

½ cup water

How to Make the Pot Roast:

(1) Pour the vegetables into the bottom of the Crock Pot.

(2) Add salt and pepper to the meat.

(3) Place the meat into the pot.

(4) Add water.

(5) Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. If you cook it on high, it will be done in 5-6 hours.

This pot roast will go great with macaroni and cheese and rolls. It is also a great dinner for cold winter days and Christmas get togethers!

Meat Loaf

Like with the pot roast, I suggest you start this early in the morning too.

You will need:

2 lbs of ground beef

2 eggs

2/3 cup quick cooking oats

1 package dry onion soup mix

½ cup ketchup

How to Make the Meat Loaf

(1) Combine the ground beef, eggs, oats, soup mix, and most of the ketchup. Leave about 2 tablespoons of ketchup for later.

(2) Shape the mix into a loaf.

(3) Put the meatloaf into the Crock Pot.

(4) Top the loaf with the remaining ketchup.

(5) Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. If you cook it on high, it will be done in 4 to 6 hours.

This Meat Loaf will go great with macaroni and cheese, roasted red potatoes, and yeast rolls. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!
