ITEMS THE KIDS WILL NEED:
First the kids will need plain white potholders. The potholders could have a colored trim around the edges, but should be white in the middle. The potholders could be square or round, but should be a fairly large size. Next, you should get some markers for the kids to use to decorate the potholders with. Also, get some cookie cutters.
HAVE THE KIDS CREATE THE POTHOLDERS:
Once you have the supplies allow the kids to design their potholder for their mom any way they want to. They will use their imaginations and get creative with this craft for mom. They can use the cookie cutter to trace objects onto the potholder with the marker or they can freehand their potholder designs. One thing about it, no two potholders will come out looking alike, they will all be unique and special to mom in their own way.
Kids will love making this craft for mom, beause they get to use markers.Moms will love getting this gift for Mother's day, because it is something they will always be able to use or display in the kitchen.
