Potholes in Palo Alto Streets
Neighborhood: Palo Alto
San Jose, CA 94301
United States of America
The rain this weekend was a welcome sight for our water shortage. The rain, however, also brings with it problems such as more potholes for drivers around Palo Alto streets. Who remembers the huge pothole on highway 101 in Palo Alto a few years ago? That kept traffic snarled for awhile. Potholes are a common complaint in our city. With all this new rain, many of the potholes will be filled with water causing a hidden danger to residents.

The rain is also causing some of the lower lying areas in Palo Alto to experience surface flooding. With the city budget issues and deferred maintenance these problems could likely increase this year. The fewer Public Works employees means fewer eyes on our local road conditions. We can help by reporting hazardous road conditions such as potholes to Palo Alto Public Works department.
