Potted Christmas Trees for an Eco-friendly Christmas

Christmas trees have been sold commercially around the United States since the early 1850s; it has become a staple in the American holiday.

Each year I would buy a Christmas tree and when Christmas is over I try to make use of it in my garden. This year I'm going to have an eco-friendly Christmas; I'm using a potted Christmas tree and when this Christmas is over I'm going to plant it in my garden. A potted tree is still alive and when properly cared for won't become kindling for a fire.

In America nearly 35 million Christmas trees are cut down every year during the holiday season. One mature tree can remove up to 48 pounds of carbon out of the atmosphere. So it's up to us to do our part no matter how small.

What I'm gonna put on my Christmas tree for decorations will keep with the eco-friendly theme I'll be using such decorations as strings of popcorn, as well as pine Cones from the back yard. Your children will love making these types of crafts. They will be able to add glitter to the pine Cones and help make popcorn, as well as eat some of it. Children love making long strings of popcorn.

The next thing we're going to add to our Christmas tree, being eco-friendly are LED lights. Thank you to all those companies out there making LED lights. LED lights help prevent fires in the home. These lights are not only going to be the most energy efficient but the safest.

Having in the eco-friendly Christmas is not hard thing to do this year. It can in fact become a Christmas tradition in your family. It helps bring family's closer together by creating Christmas decorations, and your children will love creating and crafting eco-friendly Christmas decorations.
