Pottery Barn Recalls Lamps Due to Shock Hazard

Lamps Sold at Pottery Barn Stores and Online May Be a Shock Hazard

The Pottery Barn has announced a recall of certain lamps due to the possibility of shock hazard. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, also referred to as the CPSC, said this is a voluntary recall of the lamps in question.

The recalled lamps were imported by Pottery Barn in California. These lamps were made available throughout the United States and one may be in your home. Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled lamps and return them to the place of purchase.

The lamp recall followed a consumer complaint of a shock when the lamp was touched. The CPSC report states that electrical wires can be pinched where the lamps have an adjustable joint. View the complete report by using the link below this article

This recall of lamps includes over 7000 which were imported from Taiwan by Pottery Barn of San Francisco, California. The price of the lamps range from $60 to $300. Pictures of the recalled limps are included with this article.

The items recalled include Pottery Barn's Clay Task Lamp model #2467553, the Montgomery Task Lamp model #9691783 and the Montgomery Floor Lamp model #9691775. The lamps have a finish that is bronze colored. All of the lamps will have the model number on the bottom of the lamps with the Pottery Barn name.
