Power Forward (PF) Deep Sleepers - Top 3
Jonas Jerebko - Det - sf/pf
After a solid rookie year in 2009-2010, Jerebko missed the entire 2010-2011 season wit h a torn Achilles' tendon injury. Entering the 2011-2012 season with full health on his side, Jerebko will be looking at making a significant contribution in the Detroit Pistons lineup this season. Combining excellent size at 6"-10" to go along with tenacious defensive play and hustle, Jerebko is an easy candidate to tally 25-30 minutes played per game this season.
2009-2010 Projected Stats: 48.1 fg% -- 9.3 ppg -- 0.5 3pt -- 6.0 reb -- 0.7 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.4 blk
2010-2011 Stats: DNP - injured
2011-2012 Projected Stats: 48 fg% -- 12.0 ppg -- 0.5 3pt -- 7.5 reb -- 1.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.5 blk
Carl Landry - NO - sf/pf
As a proven rebounder and scorer during his four seasons in the NBA, Landry will look to bounce back as a solid and reliable stat contributor in fantasy basketball lineups this season. With the starting PF job his to lose in New Orleans to begin the 2011-2012 season, Landry definitely has the potential to tally 15 points and 7 rebounds per game this season, while also maintaining an excellent field goal percentage around 50%.
2010-2011 Stats: 50.2 fg% -- 11.9 ppg -- 0.0 3pt -- 4.6 reb -- 0.8 ast -- 0.5 stl -- 0.4 blk
2011-2012 Projected Stats: 50 fg% -- 15.0 ppg -- 0.0 3pt -- 7.0 reb -- 0.8 ast -- 0.5 stl -- 0.5 blk
Patrick Patterson - Hou - pf
As the Rockets 1st round draft pick last season, Patterson was able to make a solid impact during the second half of his rookie season while averaging 20 minutes played per game over the final two months of the season. With the ability to play both power forward and small forward positions, Patterson brings an extremely efficient scoring ability that routinely sits in the 50% field goal range, while also offering solid rebounding potential. If given 25 minutes per game this season, Patterson could become a 10 points and 6 rebounds per game player while notching a field goal percentage at or above 50%. All in all, Patterson could easily become an extremely efficient player in fantasy basketball leagues this season.
2010-2011 Stats: 55.8 fg% -- 6.3 ppg -- 0.0 3pt -- 3.9 reb -- 0.8 ast -- 0.3 stl -- 0.7 blk
2011-2012 Projected Stats: 52 fg% -- 10.0 ppg -- 0.0 3pt -- 6.0 reb -- 1.0 ast -- 0.5 stl -- 1.0 blk
