Power of Words

Really True

SAIKAT KUMAR DUTTA
Words can,
bring excellent comments from a dear reader,
Words can,
change a street beggar into a famous political leader.

Words can,
force to change a real soft mind into a rude,
Words can,
convert quickly a 'must' statement from a 'should'.

Words can,
allow you to live with pleasure on this Earth,
words can,
compel you to love death more than a new birth.

Words can,
discover a new formula in Science and arts,
Words can,
direct you how to operate the buttons of your shirts.

Words can,
make you smile even when you are very sick,
Words can,
send your expected success onto the highest peak.

Words can,
give a broken relation its very new beginning,
Words can,
bring a sunset topmost prior to its natural evening.

Words can,
tightly join a Hindu soul with a Christian soul,
Words can,
make you clearly understand what is your real goal.

Words can,
injure you more than a sharp glossy knife,
Words can,
nicely establish or cruelly destroy your whole life.

Words can,
bless you to forget your painful endless cry,
Words can,
change a dry face to jolly, or a jolly face to dry.

Words can,
stop your pain and give you a peaceful sleep,
Words can,
snatch away you very far from her red sweet lip.

Words can,
heal the grief of a boy and his widow mother,
Words can,
deeply inspire you to write more and more further.

Words can,
make Americans to be a fan of a little Indian poet,
Words can,
say you to love the world forgetting the curse of hate.

Very nice, poetry is much harder to write than the drivel, I produce. I envy you the talent.

Your writing is much more than 'just' words :-)

this is my favorite. i've read a few of yours, already. they're all wonderful! i'll continue to come back and read this one! i especially enjoyed the line about how words can join the souls of people of different religions. I am beggining to realize that God is universal--he just comes packaged differently, in various cultures. (i don't know if you agree with me, or not.) anyway--people of all backgrounds have more in common than they realize. unfortunately, we often choose to focus on the differences--rather than the similarities. once again--thanks for sharing your gift for words. ~namaste~
