PowerBar Triple Threat Long Lasting Energy Bar Puts Back What Your Workout Takes Out

Caramel Peanut Fusion Flavor

Susan Slade

Every time I go Core Boxing it seems to be a harder workout. A product I have tried recently, to bring back by energy is, PowerBar Triple Threat Energy Bar. I bought one bar at Walmart for 98 cents, and got the second one for free. The flavor I chose was Caramel Peanut Fusion.

I drink a whole bottle of water before my hour workout, and during it. By the time I have completed it, I am sweating. On the odd occasion I have been a little light headed, and starting to shake.

Before I even get out of the door, I open up my bar, and take a couple of bites. Then a couple more while I walk to my car. I then finish up the bar while the car is cooling down. By the time I start to drive home I am feeling good.

The bar is three and three quarters of an inch x one and a half inch x five eighths of an inch. It is covered in chocolate. As soon as you go to bite into it, you can smell the chocolate and peanuts. The taste isn't like a protein/energy bar. It really tastes as if you are eating a chocolate candy bar.

It doesn't compare with my Cadbury bars, from England, but is as good as any of the chocolate candy bars I buy on odd occasions. It has lots of chocolate, pieces of nuts, oats, and a sweet taste to it. The combination is good.

It is suggested that you have a PowerBar half an hour, to an hour before a workout, or an hour into a workout. It is great for after a workout, and gives back the energy you need. That is why it is called a Triple Threat Long Lasting Energy bar.

The energy bar has a net weight of 55 grams (1.94 oz.)

The serving size is 1 Bar

I don't have any problem with the amount of fat, or sugar, when I am using the PowerBar Triple Threat Energy bar, Caramel Peanut Fusion, as part of my workout. It helps to give me 'long lasting energy and muscle-building power'.

I sometimes have an energy bar in place of a meal, but I do try to watch the amount of calories, fat, and sugar, in the bar. However, when you lose some of these, the taste can go as well. You have to weigh up the amount of calories you want, the taste of the bar, and what nutritional value it is giving you.

I personally think that PowerBar at less than a dollar is an excellent buy.

I have just come in from a boxing workout, and have eaten another bar. I must have eaten at least twelve bars now. That shows you how much I like the taste. No cardboard here.
