Powerless

I was powerless to resist you
As you gazed into my eyes,
they pulled me in like magnets
like stars on a dark, clear night.

Your lips tasted just like cherries,
sweet as a virgin's bloom.
The scent of your breath made me weak
as we kissed I felt myself swoon.

When our lips parted we
both stared into one another's eyes.
I can never forget the brown color
of those pools that tell no lies.

They spoke so loud and clear to me
that you never had to say,
what your heart was truly feeling
I can still feel it to this day.
