Powerlifting Gear | Inzer Squat Suits

This is not an advertisement... well maybe not. Depends on whether you work for a competitor of Inzer's or not. Even back in my powerlifting heyday Inzer was the IBM of the powerlifting gear companies. They have belts, squat suits, and shirts plus a myriad of other products that will complement a good workout regimen. Here I want to talk about a few of their current lineup of suit designs and their uses.

Version 4 of the Z-suit. It is kind of like the base model for Inzer. Good for ramp up to a meet workout or good for a meet if you are just starting out. They have redesigned this suit to fit a wide variety of needs and it fulfils its promise nicely. For the price it is a good suit and if you get 6 months to a year out of it you will not worry about tossing it after a tear or run. If you have never owned a suit before this is the one to start out on.

Hardcore suit. The cream of the crop. This is the suit to wear in a meet if your wallet is not fat or you don't have a sponsor yet. It is around $150 (3 times the version 4 Z suit) but that is cheap for the technology involved in the suit with the redesign in the fabric. If you scan google images for powerlifting meets you will see this suit in a lot of the pics. So I guess that is great advertising for them.

The Leviathan. King if the hill and double the price of the Hardcore. Check your meet rules to see if it is allowed for use. Best in class at stoppage in the hole. This suit cups the nuts if you know what I mean. Nothing but finest class materials here (at least that is what the website says) I have never used this suit but some of the squat record holders were wearing it in their attempts. From the reviews this bad boy is like a finely starched suit shirt that will stand up on its own if you set it on a table.

As in all equipment make sure the squat suit is fitted to you to get the most benefit. Whether or not you consider a suit safety equipment or cheating that is up to you to decide. I feel that they have their place in the powerlifting gear bag. Check out the Pitbike Racing site too.
