1. Record and Store Simple Reminders
We've all found ourselves in this scenario: you are suddenly confronted with a situation that will require you to remember a long list of information. Maybe it's a long string of numbers, the names of your child's classmates, the time and date of a doctor's appointment or even the location of a birthday party. Sure you could type them into your MemoPad feature. But sometimes all that typing is simply a hassle.
Rather than fishing through your purse for a pen and paper, why not whip out your BlackBerry® and quickly cue up your Voice Notes Recorder? Hit your trackball to depress the red record button on your screen and start recording the information.
When you're finished, be sure to save, log and title the file so that you will be able to pull it up later. Not only is this a more efficient method, but it will also serve to protect your recorded reminder from any external damage. Paper notes can be lost, ripped to pieces or blurred out. But as long as you have your phone, you'll have your recorded reminders.
2. Record your Grocery Lists
Are you a mom constantly grocery shopping for your hungry family? Are you tired of making lengthy lists on magnetic notepads and clipboards? If you own a BlackBerry® Curve, there's no need to deal with this method any longer. Before embarking on your next journey to the grocery store, record your entire list with your Voice Notes Recorder feature. When you arrive in the store, you will be able to access your list, as well as add additional items to the list as you shop.
3. Record your To-Do List for the Day
Do you have a busy day full of miscellaneous errands? Need help remembering where you have to go and why? With your BlackBerry® Curve's Voice Notes Recorder you can record, title and log each of the errands you plan to accomplish during the course of the day. Or simply record them all in one long list. Either way, you'll have them in a safe and secure location and on your person throughout the day.
4. Record Personal E-mails and Letters to Write or Type at a Later Date
Have you ever found yourself stuck in traffic and suddenly hit with the realization that you need to write or respond to a letter or e-mail? Perhaps it's a letter to a friend, family member or even a co-worker.
Rather than waiting to get to your home or office, by which time all of your thoughts and ideas will have left your mind, why not dictate the letter to your BlackBerry®? Switch on your Voice Notes Recorder and fire away! When you're finally ready to put pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard, you will have a pre-recorded copy of the document saved, titled and logged in your recorded files. And it will be dictated back to you in your own voice!
So before you start thinking that half or more of your BlackBerry® features and options are completely pointless, why not give them a chance? You may find them more useful and practical than you think.
