Praises for Jeffrie's Door

Dan Reveal
Someday that cloth on the shelf will be priceless,
for it contains the tears I brought upon myself when
the orchestra left me far behind.
The dalliance and the daffodils are hardly a substiute for some peace of soul, some peace of mind.

But, here are the praises for Jeffrie's door.
Rehearse them over lunch and get back with me.
You planted many a forsaken moon,
now try planting some fertile tree.

Someday that sad man on the shelf will be priceless, for you can always say I knew him when.
What part of friendship got lost in the translation?
Or was it just pressed between the pages?
"No love is bought and paid for," said the cocktail party gin.

No love is bought and paid for.

But, here are the praises for Jeffrie's door.
Rehearse them over lunch and get back with me.
You planted many a forsaken moon,
now try planting a fertile tree.

Try planting a fertile tree.
