Pranks from Deadliest Catch Season Four

The fourth season of Deadliest Catch is now available on DVD. This season may have been the best yet. There was danger and drama, shocking working conditions, big waves, bad weather, and many breakdowns. What was new in the fourth season was the number of pranks that the different crews pulled on one another, which were very fun to watch.

The first prank started before the crews headed out to sea. The crew of the Time Bandit loaded a rusted old truck on to their boat in order to play a joke on Caption Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie. They later replaced one of the Cornelia Marie's pots with the truck. The Cornelia Marie crew had a hard time trying to pull up what they thought was a crab pot, but turned out to be a truck. A good laugh was had by all and the prank was given a grade of A+ by Harris.

After nineteen days, the Time Bandit headed into Dutch Harbor ahead of the other crews to offload. The Cornelia Marie was not having the same luck. A deckhand and a greenhorn on the boat tried to change their luck by sacrificing their hair. They shaved their heads into mohawks. Unfortunately, it did not help them find crabs, and Phil Harris became increasingly stressed out. Later, Captain Keith pulled a prank on Captain Sten by hauling up one of his crap pots and attaching a porta-potty to it instead.

Tensions rose as the icy weather worsened. An emergency warning was sent to the fleet that a hurricane was approaching. Then, three arctic storms converged in the area. This caused a large amount of damage to the boats. The crews of the Deadliest Catch suffered through the same harsh conditions that we have seen in previous seasons, and we all held our breath for their safety.

The final prank of the season took place when Edgar Hansen of the Northwestern threw a dummy overboard in sight of Captain Sig, trying to trick him into calling a man overboard situation. The prank was foiled when Sig noticed that the legs were bent in the wrong place, and called them on it.

That wraps up season four of Deadliest Catch. If you are not aware, the current season of the show is in progress. Tune in now. The Deadliest Catch had managed to get better each season, and I'm sure season five will hold many new surprises.
