My father, who art in the animal kingdom,
Flesh be thy name;
Thy kingdom is,
My will is his,
Taken to a more leveraged level.
Give me this day your platform head
So that I may give direction,
And, in so doing, you may be redirected.
Provide me temptation so that I might be moved,
And may I move it toward a higher purpose.
For thine is the kingdom
Where lies the power, and the glory
That makes me manifest forever.
Amen.

Post a CommentI have wondered why there was only one comment on this piece. I actually thought that this one was kind of good. Perhaps it was thought to be sacrilegious? But that was not the intent. Look at it this way: From a Judeo-Christian perspective (and there are other perspectives, but J-C is the topical consideration), think of God saying a prayer back to Jesus. In a way, each gives birth to the other. It is through consciousness that flesh becomes self aware, and thus flesh views consciousness (which cannot be held as a substance - hence the spiritual consideration) as the head of the house. And it is from the flesh that consciousness arises, and so, from consciousness, flesh is seen as Pater.
