The Words Brain and Tumor Do Not Go Together!

Yesterday I received a call from my son-in-law needing me to come sit with my granddaughter. My oldest daughter has been having health issues both mental and physical for a good year now. Yesterday she fell in the bathroom and hit her head on the toilet. The EMT's were called. They put her in a neck brace and took her off to the E.R. Later my son-in-law calls to tell me the good news, bad news.

The good news:

The E.R. doctor ordered a C.T. scan and there are no fractures of the skull and the neck is not broken. She just has a big lump on the back of the head near the neck and ear.

The bad news:

The C.T. scan shows a large tumor on the right front side of the brain. My oldest daughter has a brain tumor. I cannot even believe those words. They sound foreign to me. They do not go together, do not fit together. Brain Tumor, no it cannot be. They have no medical insurance, this cannot be happening.

The E.R. sent her home with an order for a with contrast and without contrast MRI. It stated she was to call today for an appointment for 27th or 28th. Then there is the Discharge/Follow -Up paper that states she is to call her regular physician for a same day appointment. So far my son-in-law has called to say she had a Dr. appointment scheduled for this morning but not with her regular doctor, another in the same clinic. And the MRI is scheduled for 2:15 today. I am shaking so inside, unable to understand how or why this is happening. Someone said today that the fall is a blessing, that without the fall the tumor may have gone undetected even longer. All the meds she is on, the counseling she has undergone, the personality changes. All were attributed to bi-polar, a paranoid schizophrenic diagnosis and prescription drug side effects. Could it be she is not as the psychiatrist has diagnosed? I feel like the cloud has gotten darker. We've traded one evil for another. Those words, brain and tumor, do not go together. They should not go together.

Please Pray for Bobbie..............
