Bleak and tormented my mournful eyes bleed
Praying for blackness
A shroud of cover to define my night
Where sorrow is only a memory
And my hearts desire, is an unlit moment away
For behind my opaque eyes lies the gateway
Where I am wrapped in a circle of mist
To reap safe comfort, soundlessly consuming
Gently, tears echo as I struggle with the abyss
Whispering gray clouds surround me
Engulfing the sadness of cascading tears
They unleash me from this sorrow filled day
To accept sleeps elusive embrace
Where all will be forgotten
All but the dreams, I choose to dream
And tomorrows promise that I cannot yet face
