Prediction for the New York Giants Schedule for 2010 NFL Season

J.A. McLynne
The New York Giants open up their 2010 NFL schedule on Sunday September 12th against the Carolina Panthers. The New York Giants will open up their 2010 NFL season in style when they host the first game at home in their new stadium, the New Meadowlands Stadium. Matt Moore, along with Jimmy Clausen will come knocking on the door, and hope to bring down the house. The Giants should come out on top in this one, but it will probably be a close score.

The following week, the Giants' 2010 NFL schedule show that they will travel to Indiana to take on Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. The Manning brothers will face off in a nationally televised Sunday Night Football game, which will be sure to draw high ratings for the NBC NFL football franchise. The two Manning brothers last faced off in 2006, and Peyton came out on top. Perhaps Eli will be the winner in this match up. The New York Giants probably have a 50-50 shot at winning this one.

In Week 3, the Giants will be back at New Meadowlands Stadium again to take on a rejuvenated Vince Young. A loss for the Giants. I pick this as a loss, since no matter what happens in their game against the Colts, the Giants will be too drained from their trip and the media attention surrounding the Manning vs. Manning game.

Next the Chicago Bears come calling in in Week 4, a game that should end in an easy victory for the Giants.

The Giants then travel to Texas to take on Houston-a win. They come back home to play against the Detroit Lions - a win, and then back to Texas again to play Dallas in a Sunday Night Match up to be televised on ESPN.

As the New York Giants go into their bye week in their 2010 NFL schedule, they should have 4 or 5 wins under their belt. If they get lucky in Indianapolis and Dallas their could be even more wins for the Giants.

Following the bye week, the 2010 NFL schedule for the New York Giants gets tough. It is in this part of the football schedule that the Giants take on the heart of the NFC east, with another match up against Dallas, and a pair of games with the Eagles and the Redskins. Oh, and they will also have to take on Brett Favre and the Vikings. Maybe Brett will be injured by this late point in the NFL season. The New York Giants will also need to take on the Packers during this stretch of the 2010 NFL schedule. The second half of the schedule will be tough on the New York Giants, and they will be lucky to finish that stretch above .500, which gives them a slight edge for making a wild card playoff slot for the 2010 NFL season.
