Predictions for the New Season of 24 Coming in January

I am a huge fan of the television show on Fox, "24" which stars Kiefer Sutherland. I only got hooked onto the show 24 two years ago and I have been struggling to catch up to its episodes on television. As you know, you can only watch 24 if you have seen the previous episodes; otherwise you will find yourself lost with the plot of the show. When Season 5 of 24 came out on DVD, I was one of the first people to pre-order it so that I could watch it as quickly as I could before Season 6 starts of 24 in January. I am now proud to say that I have seen every episode of 24 and I share my insights and predictions of what will happen in Season 6 of 24

New cast of characters: As always on 24, there is a high rate of turnover in the cast of 24. Clowee's friend Edwin died from the nerve gas and her lover was taken away as a spy for the government. Tony Almeda and his wife died in Season 5 so Jack is going to have to make some new friends which mean new actors will appear who work for the Counter Terrorist Unit. I think the relationship that Jack Bauer has with Andrea will intensify and the Secretary of Defense who is the father of Andrea will also play a larger role. I believe that the directors of 24 kept the Secretary of Defense alive in Season 5 for a reason instead of letting him drown in the lake as was expected by the viewers.

As you probably know already, Jack Bauer has to escape from the Chinese somehow as he was last seen on a boat to Shanghai, China. The Chinese want to get even with Jack Bauer for breaking into a Chinese consulate building and killing one of their diplomats, even though it was from friendly fire of their own men. My guess is that the American government might trade Jack Bauer for a Chinese spy or try a daring rescue mission.

The show could go in many directions but I suspect that Jack Bauer and CTU will try and find the people who were behind the terrorist attacks and actions of President Logan. The first couple of episodes will feature Jack Bauer being tortured and the Counter Terrorist Unit desperately trying to find him.

People who die: In every episode, a vast majority of the main characters die. I think that it is finally time that the CTU director, who I like very much, will end up getting killed in the heroic line of duty and Andrea will also get killed somehow. Clowee has somehow been on the show the longest next to Jack Bauer so she probably will die as well. And as usual, someone has to be the spy within CTU. My guess is that it could be a SWAT agent, the very same one who told Jack Bauer that he had a phone call and then Bauer was kidnapped. Finally, I think that the field agent Curtis will perish as well in his attempt to save Jack Bauer. Curtis has been a fan favorite and I hope he remains but many fan favorite characters like David Palmer have often been killed to keep up the suspense in every episode of the show.

Whatever will happen, one thing is for sure, it will be a very exciting season of 24. The directors made sure to show 24 in a span of uninterrupted weeks because they didn't want to leave viewers hanging with the holidays. 24 kicks off with the first four hours of the show on back to back night with two hours each night followed by the regularly scheduled 1 episode a night. I can't wait.
