Prefer Shopping Online? Why You Should Join MyPoints
How to Get Free Gift Certificates Just by Shopping Online
Speaking of emails to read, you get points for reading an email and checking out the offer that goes along with it. These points are often five points for each email. What is nice about MyPoints is that they only send you a limited number of emails. There are some programs, namely pay to click programs, where you are sent fifty or more emails each week. In my experience, MyPoints sends you only around five to ten emails a week. In fact, when I first got started with MyPoints I didn't shop online. It took me about a year, to generate enough points for a payout. For that payout, which was only from reading emails, I choose a twenty-five dollar gift card to Old Navy.
Since I started shopping online, I have earned the same amount of points in only a couple of months. There are around a hundred online retailers that participate in the MyPoints program. By starting your online shopping at www.MyPoints.com and choosing the retailer of your choice, it is easy to generate points. After a close examination, you will find that most retailers offer you two to three points for each dollar spent. A select number of retailers, including Barnes and Noble and Overstock, offer you ten points per dollars spent. With these retailers, it is easy to get free gift certificates just for doing your shopping online. In fact, MyPoints regularly has promotions where the points that you earn for each dollar spent can be doubled!
In addition to being able to accumulate points by shopping with over one hundred online retailers, you can also redeem your points for gift cards with almost fifty different retailers. Many of these gift cards can be used online or in your local storefront retail locations. On average, it takes about 1,500 points to get a $10 gift card. Depending on the retailer in question, those points can be higher or lower. Other common gift card amounts include $15, $25, and $50. The more points you accumulate the higher the gift card amounts you can get.
The thing about MyPoints is I joined and loved the site even when I didn't use it to its fullest extend. If you do, by shopping online, you can accumulate enough points to get the gift cards of your choice. This means that you can do your shopping online, for birthday and holidays, or you could even use your redeemed gift cards as gifts; the decision is yours to make.

I joined mypoints but haven't done much with them. I think I'll give them another look!
I should also mention that MyPoints has a lot of cool contests too. I have never actually won one before, but you can play and earn extra points too.
It would probably help if I give the website. It looks like I didn't do so. It is www.mypoints.com.
