Pregnancy Announcements

These are very short experiences. When I found out I was expecting the first time, it was months after me and my mom had gotten into an argument and I moved out the house, so I didn't exactly know how to tell her; everyone else didn't matter. I just wanted to make sure she was okay with it. I mean after all she was mom. I decided the best way to tell her was with a just cause card and I put it in her mailbox. In it I asked her if I could come home and she could help me out, and she was fine with it. Now she spoils my first born to death and he shows off when she comes around.

With my second son I had just gotten married, my oldest had just turned 2 and we was just starting out in this new city ( we were from New York). My husband just started a new job and we didn't have much money so we were staying with friends. Let me just say that I have 2 older brothers myself and being their baby sister I was afraid to tell them and my mom that I was having another baby. So I kept it a secret for 3 months, or rather until everyone started to notice how much I was eating. They also didn't know I was married, so I showed them the marriage certificate around Thanksgiving and then gave them the news. Funny thing was they already knew and just laughed.
