Pregnancy Checklist

Amanda Dean
Every new mommy to be wonders if they're going to be ready when the big day arrives. Wondering if they have the right things for the baby when the baby comes home or if they are taking the right things to the hospital. So based on my experience of having 3 children I am writing a checklist on things I took with me.

When you reach your 35 - 36 week of pregnancy you should pack your hospital bag.

What to bring to the hospital

A comfortable outfit for mom to wear home from the hospital.

Slippers (unless you want to wear hospital socks)

Pillows ( hospital pillows go flat quickly.)

Chap stick ( your lips are going to get very dry and chapped and rough when in labor for a few hours.)

Make sure you bring your own

Shampoo

Conditioner

Body Soap

Toothbrush

Toothpaste

A camera or Camcorder to Document this special event

A phone list of everyone to call once your newborn arrives

A calling card or cell phone to make any long distance phone calls

Some Change (possible a few dollars worth for dad-to-be or partner in case they need some snacks)

A list for Baby

A going home outfit for baby

A heavy blanket or receiving blanket depending on what time of the year your baby is born

A snowsuit also depending on the time of the year

If choosing to use a binkie make sure that you have an extra

Depending on how far you have to travel home

A diaper bag with at least

4 Diapers

Baby wipes

Some extra bottles/ Formula

You should also make sure you have a car seat

Some things you should already have at home:

At least 10 onesies

At least 10 sleepers

At least 3 receiving blankets

Diapers and Wipes

Along with formula if your not breastfeeding

Bottles

Well there you have it mommies to be and daddies to be, I hope this helps on this wonderful journey you are embarking on.
