After much research over the years, I have learned that the truth is, gender is not always up to the male! While it does matter which sperm gets there first, - X or Y - there are factors within both the male and female that help determine which one will succeed.
For me, the problem is acidity. I am very acidic.. Y sperm (male) do not do well in people who are acidic. Y sperm thrive in Alkaline environments. And vice versa.... the less Alkaline the environment, the better the X sperm (female) do. The PH of your body helps balance these conditions. And in order to control your bodies PH, you simply have to watch what you eat! Certain foods will effect your bodies PH differently. High PH of 9-plus (preferably 10 or more) gives the Y sperm a far better environment to thrive in, increasing their odds amazingly. Low PH (8 or lower) gives the those X sperm a better chance of survival. It is not just up to the female either! If you can get your significant other to work with you on a diet, checking your PH levels together, you can create together the perfect environment for the exact sex you are hoping for! The success rate for achieving the desired sex is quite high. But only if you and your other half follow the proper diet, PH levels, and plan accordingly.
Another thing that is used to help when trying to conceive a BOY, is using egg whites! Separating the whites from the yolk. Any Salmonella is said to only be found in the yolk. Being sure to use properly sterilized equipment. Gently stir the egg whites trying not to cause any bubbles. This runny liquid is used to help lubricate the cervix, by inserting with a needle-less syringe, very slowly so as not to create air bubbles. The egg whites are used for women with very little cervical mucus. The egg whites are a close replica to the real thing. Natural, and safe, so long as everything is sterilized before hand. The egg whites help create the easy to move in atmosphere the Y sperm needs in order to get to it's destination.
Further, there is more extreme gender swaying methods out there, for those caring to try them. One called a "Swim Up" method. How to artificially inseminate yourself at home. So far there are only a few people recorded to try this method. And so far the method has proved 100% success rate for those trying to conceive a certain gender. While this is still not scientifically prov-en to work, it may be worth a try for those willing.
In short, you are placing sperm into a vial. Placing egg white on top. Setting the vial in an incubator at 99 F. for 1 hour. Then looking at the vial under a microscope. You supposedly will find 4 layers of sperm. The top layer will be what they call "Super X" sperm. Super fast females. They are said to be very fast and look like shooting stars under the microscope. The next portion, 5-20% from the top, will be Y sperm. They are said to be fast as well. But not as fast as the super X, and will swim in a straight line, rather than shooting star. The next layer down will be a mix of egg white and sperm containing both X and Y. The bottom layer will be slow swimming X sperm that swim in circles. You are to remove 5-20% of the top layer, containing the super X sperm, with a syringe. Using another syringe, you remove the Y sperm layer. If you want a boy, this is the layer you should use. If you want a girl, continue on with another syringe. Remove the egg white layer containing both X and Y. Then lastly use one last syringe to remove your X sperm, assuming you are hoping for a girl. Once you have the syringe with the sex you are hoping for, you simply place it in an "Instead Cup" . Place the Instead Cup up around the cervix, and leave it there for at least 3 hours. You can add egg whites to the cup to help lubrication. This is in short. More can be read on this interesting and extreme gender swaying method on the link listed below.
While I do not personally believe there is any 100% accurate at home methods for getting the gender you want. I do believe that you increase your odds incredibly by using the diet and PH methods. I do believe that in some cases, it is in fact the woman that is keeping a couple from having a certain sex baby. While I don't know what to think about the extreme gender swaying by use of at home insemination, I do believe that there is a great chance it very well may work. So far is proving to be true. I think it will take many more brave souls to try it out and report their successes and failures.
No matter what you do to try and sway your odds, be prepared for slight disappointments of getting the opposite sex desired. You will love your little bundle of joy no matter what the sex. My little girls are the light of my life. We will try one last time for a boy, using these methods. And I will be sure to post on what happens.
Enjoy your little ones, and best of luck!
